Healthy Fourth of July Snack Arrangements!

Celebrate the long weekend with a red, white, and blue (berry) arrangements.

The long celebration weekend is coming up, and many people are chilling beers and stocking up on chips and salsa. With that said, the long weekend does not have to be a weekend of unhealthy eating. Choose to make your weekend a healthy celebration by incorporating red, white, and blue fruits!

Here are some ideas to get your weekend started on a healthy note while celebrating Independence Day.

Skewers
Pop olives, feta, and tomatoes onto skewers in an alternating pattern. For an extra kick of protein, replace the feta cheese with grilled tofu squares!

Salad
Grab your favorite large bowl and place mixed, leafy greens at the bottom. On top, toss some blueberries, coconut slices, raspberries or strawberries (or both!). If you want to pad out the salad, throw in some pecans, feta cheese, or apple slices. Mix in some balsamic vinaigrette to complete the salad.

Fruit Cups
In individual cups or bowls, slice up banana and pineapple, and mix with blackberries and strawberries! Serve chilled.

Grilled Goodness
Make your own veggie skewers to grill! Slice up a red bell pepper, cauliflower, and eggplant to grill over your stove or barbecue.
