July Celebrations in Apple Valley, Minnesota for the Whole Family

The month of July is a wonderful time of year, with parades, fireworks, picnics, and Fourth of July celebrations. Apple Valley, Minnesota sure knows how to celebrate. Be sure to mark your calendars now, so you don’t miss out on any of the family fun events this July!

Apple Valley Freedom Day Events

The Apple Valley 4th of July parade is Minnesota’s largest parade. The parade starts at 1 pm.  Spectators may set up their chairs and belongings on the sidewalks and streets 24 hours before the start of the parade begins. The parade starts at Pennock Avenue & Fireside Drive and journeys north, turns left onto 145th Street, then makes a right onto Hayes Road and ends at Apple Valley High School. A special fly over sponsored by the American Legion is sure to add a thrill to this year’s parade.

The parade is just the beginning of a fun filled family Fourth of July. From 5 pm to 11 pm the family can enjoy an assortment of food, beverages, and music at Johnny Cake Ridge Park East.

If carnival rides and games are more up your alley, then you’re in luck! From 3 pm to 11 pm the whole family can enjoy rides and games from the J&K Amusements Carnival also located at Johnny Cake Ridge Park – East.

It wouldn’t be a traditional Fourth of July celebration without the fireworks. The fireworks show starts at 10 pm at the Johnny Cake Ridge Park East.

Lakeville Pan-O-Prog Days 2014

Pan-O-Prog starts on the fourth of July with a parade and fireworks and continues until July 13th. During these fun filled days you can enjoy vendors, food, classic cars, and the Miss. Lakeview pageant.  July 11th – 13th the entire family can enjoy all the activities at Fun Fair from 11 am to 8 pm. Spend the day riding the rides, playing games, enjoying your favorite fair foods, visit the exotic petting zoo and pet a kangaroo or check out the other 18 awesome wild animals waiting for your visit. The festival comes to an end with July 13th.

Rosemount Leprechaun Days

The ten day festival will run from July 18-27, 2014. The festival includes the Grand parade on July 19th at 11 am. In addition, this year there will be more than 60 events to entertain the family. There truly is something for everyone – carnival rides and games, music, food, vendors, beer gardens, fireworks, and so much more. The Rosemount Leprechaun Days is a great way to end the month of July.
